The South Wall
The South Wall First Window is one of a group of three ‘story’ windows illustrating the Christian virtues of faith, hope and love. This one centres on Jesus the Good Shepherd as the embodiment of love [St. John Chapter 10]. Other parts of the window show Mary and Martha [St. Luke Chapter 10], the woman who loved much [St. Luke Chapter 7], Jesus on the Way of the Cross [St. Luke Chapter 23], Dorcas (Tabitha) who sewed for the poor [Acts Chapter 9], Peter and John the beggar [Acts Chapter 3].
The South Wall Second Window centres on the figure of Faith and shows incidents from the story of Noah and the Ark [Genesis Chapters 6,7,8,9].

The South Wall Third Window centres on the figure of Faith and shows incidents from the life od Abraham or Abram. [Genesis Chapters 12 to 23].
The South Wall Fourth Window is a memorial to Elizabeth Whitelegge who died 17 years before the re-built church was re-opened. It is the only window in the church which illustrates a parable - the story of the wise and foolish maidens [St. Matthew Chapter 25]. The colours of this window, possibly by Heaton, Butler and Bayne, are particularly bright.
