The Sanctuary East Window  is dedicated to Thomas William Tatton and his wife Emma, both of whom died before 1876, the year in which the last rebuilding was completed. It is likely, therefore, that the stained glass, by William Wailes of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, came from the demolished building. The major theme of the window is Jesus Christ’s Passion [St. Matthew  Chapters 26 &27, St. Mark Chapters 14 & 15, St. Luke Chapters 22 & 23, St. John Chapters 18 & 19]
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary South Window is described as a story window about events in the life of St. John the Baptist. This window, which is difficult to see from ground level, also predates the rebuilding of the church in 1876.
