St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School
Information about St Wilfrid’s CoE Primary School - its association with the church and contact details:

There is an “Aided” Primary School associated with the church, St.Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School, Patterdale Rd., Northenden, M22 4NR. This operates within Manchester L.E.A., in alliance with the Manchester Diocesan Board of Education.

The school takes children from nursery age (3+) to age 11, and has an intake of up to 1½ forms (45 children) per year.  For admission details, contact the school on 0161 998 3663.

We take “church” children from a wide area of Manchester, Trafford and Stockport, and anyone from within Northenden and its immediately surrounding area, as space permits.  Our Brochure/”Profile” is available on request.

The main school building dates from 1960, with an infant block built 1999-2000, and further extensions are planned for 2006.  It is set in very extensive playing fields in the heart of Northenden.

The head teacher is Mrs. Victoria Ford, and the Chairman of Governors is currently the Rector. We have had consistently good Ofsted reports (the next one is due in 2006!) and feature in the top 5% of Manchester’s Primary Schools.

The school now has its own website at
